Hey guys :)

So, no matter what I'm gonna finish this chapter. I'm starting to 'feel it' again, so hopefully it starts to come back. I really don't want to become a statistic, I want to be one of the rare few that sees a project like this through to completion.

What I do want to say/ask though is, if it's not too much trouble, please share this with people. If you're in any relevant communities or something, spread the word, tell them to join in on the fun :) I hate to think that my work is embarrassing and unworthy of sharing, heh. I know some of you are doing this already - thank you!

The other thing I wanted to say because I know some people expressed they didn't know if I'd be okay with it - if someone has the time and the desire to do it, please feel free to make a TV Tropes page, a wiki page, whatever you see fit! Do whatever you want with this comic and the characters, just don't take credit for the comic itself, that's all I ask, heh. I will absolutely work with anyone who wants to tackle something like that.

But yeah, that's all. Resuming as normal for the time being. Thanks for all the wisdom, guys.

Glad to hear that you are feeling a little more in the groove.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this flashback plays out.

It's coming back, a bit. I need to calm down and slip back into it.

I hope people like where it goes :D

So far, so good.

Another lurker stepping out of the shadows for a moment here. A TV Tropes page is now up, at http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Webcomic/TheShadowsOverInnsmouth. Feel free to correct my mistakes (I never used TV Tropes before) and/or link more tropes – I'm sure my list is far from exhaustive.

Also, in the comments on the last page, at one point you wrote "I just feel like this thing isn't good enough, otherwise I would be building more and more readers." But it's not about that, and you actually gave the reason why yourself in a later comment: "I know that you (and most webcomic readers) have plenty of other things to read."

The internet's a big place, and it's hard to stand out no matter how good you are. And you are good – going back through the archives to put the TV Tropes page together reminded me of that. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Aah! You rule! I adore the ones you've put up so far, too :) I'll be sure to spy on this to see what tropes people find that it matches up with as time passes. Seriously, super awesome, thank you!

I know you're right, though. There's just too many things out there. I have to keep going and hope I end up being something special for someone. I really appreciate you, thank you :)

It's true. There are so many good web comics and not enough time in my busy day. I'm deliberately not looking at some because I'm sure I'll like them. But you are on my iist.

Also you need to run more ads! I find most of my comics either through recommendations by other comic artists, or by clicking on an interesting Project Wonderful ad.(And 95% of those turn out to be far less interesting than the banner ad made them look, sigh...)

Flashback? Random guess is this is little Irwin but nothing to base the guess on. Or Chase. Maybe only that it would make sense if they had previous encounters with something supernatural but in Chase's case he seemed his old investigation was the first time so that would leave Irwin.
Or just a random boy about to be killed violently >:)

---

Cool! So the current status is at least this chapter and then we will see? That is plenty of time as you said previously.
In that case my previous suggestion is also open if you ever feel like it :>
I mean, this is not KickStarter. Nobody is paying for a promised full product but to actually keep it afloat until it finishes <-- not the best analogy, LMAO, but meh :D

Ooh, right back into speculation. I'll interweave my fingers and grin as I wait for the pieces to come together.. not too many pages until it's revealed, though, so..

---

You got it! I'm going to make it. I have to get myself together and get back to work on this thing, I'm way too far in to let one of my major depressive episodes rip it to shreds without a little further thought. Hopefully I can fix some of the things going on in my life to help myself succeed.. that part remains to be seen.

Ooh, I do too! No minor characters in this story, huh?

Shit like this used to happen to me at the school bus stop after school. Except the plunging into the river part. That just happened in my nightmares.

@Kelty - You do, it's true ;D

@Practik - I'm sorry to hear this kind of crap used to happen to you - I was bullied very occasionally but I ended up basically vanishing when it happened more. I would just avoid everyone completely! Hooray!

If i understand you correctly from the last page. You thought that the artstyle of the comic was limiting your creativity.

I know a comic that changes artist on evry chapter. Also i like the monster intro panels in the start of your comic. So i dont think chages in the art is a bad thing if you do it well.

I'd have to pay someone in order to have another artist work on it, haha :) the problem is finding a balance between quality and speed. That's where I run into challenges.. just need to find a way to fix that.

No you dont have to hire someone. My point was that changes in the artstyle may not be a bad thing.

Ah! Right, it makes sense :) I'll think about the whole thing, rest of this chapter will be rendered much the same, still.

It's good to see you back on track! :-D

You say: "Do whatever you want with this comic and the characters, just don't take credit for the comic itself, that's all I ask, heh."
Would cameos of some sort count?
I am currently pondering what to do for my comic's next chapter, and one idea is that it might feature a bizarre antique store. (And if not in the immediate next chapter, then still at a later point.) Such an antique store of course has to be filled with interesting stuff, so why not e.g. something that has in some way to do with your comic?

Sort of! I'm still really stressed out and full of anxiety, but we'll see if things improve.

But yeah! You can have em show up if you want, I really don't mind :) That would be neat to see, too. I know a couple other webcomic artists have dropped in hints of things from TU existing in other worlds. Autumn Bay comes to mind right away.

Interesting change of pace for a Mythos story. Lovecraft tended to rush through the parts of his story where the characters were less than college age. There is no reason why a young person couldn't find themselves caught up in a danger that they had no prior knowledge about.

Yeah, not usually a lot of children in HPL stories - this is only a brief aside, as this may or may not be someone we already know as an adult..
