Hi guys! I feel like I keep running towards the light at the end of the tunnel in terms of... extra things I have to do outside of work and the comic, but, the goalposts, they're a moving. I'm so ready to have things be less complicated. I NEED things to be less complicated.

I'm doing my best to keep up - I'll let you guys know if a break is absolutely necessary.

I'm thinking that this is the first time that a human has seen Nyarolathotep knowing at least his name. I could hear the next line as "Well, that's not good".

Hah! I dunno about that - there is that poem, Nyarlathotep. It seems that he's quite used to meeting humans and giving them his name..

That line is funny though. A little 'modern comic movie' for my tastes, but it made me chuckle ;)

Mistake in last panel

Love the comic. I'd like to point out there seems to be an error in the last panel of this page. Both Irwin's hands are flesh tone...

Wow. You are right!
Then the mistake also happened while he was standing on the balcony. If you look closely, they are already both human hands there as well.
I checked like 40 pages back, lmao, and yup, Thigg fully infested his right hand.

I noticed in the last strip that the tinyhands of pulled-back angle Irwin both seemed to be peach-toned. Missed it in this one, oddly--mostly because I was admiring the body-language.

He was standing in the previous page, but even *his* knees buckled as Nyar. exited--something that speaks volumes about the raw pressure the presence of an . . . elder god? . . . exerts on humans that they're not even *focusing on*, perhaps? :)

It's a subtle detail, and one that I loved.

Aaagh, of course I goofed.

When you think about the timelines, here, it had been roughly 2 months since I drew Irwin last, so.. yeah, I messed up the colors. I'm a doof. That's what you get when you put the writing, storyboarding, inking, coloring and editing all in one person's hands XD

I'll fix it when I can, probably this weekend. Good catch, guys.

I think someone in some comment (much more knowledgeable about the lore) mentioned that it is not possible for Nyarl's clones (as independent as they are) to work against themselves, therefore against himself. Is that true?
Just curious because sometimes I am not so sure but then this guy is the real deal form, right?

Kinda makes you feel it is quite pointless to research any mystery and probably better to remain ignorant about these forces and gods because if THEY cannot solve their squabble in a timely manner (since time does not mean a thing to them) then how are a bunch of "heroes" supposed to do anything? I suppose in this kind of story the victory is a personal one and one that only applies to whatever was set in motion for you (and your buddies or enemies) personally. Hm.
Not saying or even suggesting anyone will go up against any of the gods or higher beings like: "Yo, Nyarl! Time to kick your ass!"
Two vastly different worlds I suppose.

Nobody really knows any 'rules' for Nyarlathotep - depending on who's writing the story it could be that Nyarlathotep is connected to all of his avatars at all times, or he 'activates' them, or they're created in his image and left to their own devices. It really depends. And no I'm not telling you which version I'm doing ;)

As far as whether this is Nyarlathotep's TRUE form, I don't feel like it's too much of a spoiler to say, no, it is not. Nooooooooope. You don't wanna see his true form.

..or do you?

Haha, either way - they always say that when you tell a story at the most interesting time of an antagonist/protagonist's life. Even if this is something that's been going on for millions or billions of years, SOMETHING should be going on in the course of this story, right? :D

I do because google is only giving me what I would call " highly mutated Earthworm Jim", lmao :D

But I will wait for him in the story then ;)
If that is going to happen.

That anticipation pleases me :D

And thank you! It's rocky, but I'm trying to find steady ground.

Definitely has his own plans going on. How exciting. :D

Always love two-sided fights that wind up having more sides. That adds all kinds of crazy complications.

I'm glad :)

Yes, it's safe to say that when you involve the FBI and the Elder Gods (especially Nyarlathotep) the plot starts to twist itself up.

Well, now we know that Nyarlathotep and Yog-Sothoth are openly working against each other. Regardless of who wins, it will be mankind that gets the short end of the stick, no doubt.

"Knowing" Yog, I wouldn't think that it would be moving against any other entity in particular - it's... complicated :D

Either way, a conflict of this scale is likely to cause issues for mankind, yes..

I feel like this page would either be accompanied by a big swell of Hanz Zimmer music or by the soundtrack dropping down to very quiet, creepy levels...
