I have to figure out how to catch up, when it comes to drawing humans. I'm working on pages with monster characters right now, and man the quality difference is night and day.

Ah well... setting up some stuff with this scene :)

I know what you mean. I've been drawing a lot of humans in my comic lately and enthusiasm doesn't match the level of making 'wolfies'.

No kidding, right? I should have made a comic with nothing but monsters =p

With the occasional exception, we are wired from birth for facial recognition. This wiring is so strong that it leads us to see faces where there are none. Most monsters are intended to be far enough away that they don't provoke facial recognition (though some fool it entirely). It's hard to draw "quality" people because we are wired to notice all the little details. That said, the comic has a recognizable style that works and MP's people have continued to mature for lack of a better word.

Thank you :) I know, drawing a convincing person is something that other people spend a lifetime learning to master. Maybe if I took a break and only drew people for months and months, but the thought alone bores me, heh!

A statement that becomes more true with each passing day.

Couldn't avoid nodding involuntarily when reading this.

Seriously, I wonder what is happening with humanity these days.

Once you are on the list, you remain on the list and that (very unfortunately) applies to cults and other bastards even more so :/
The attack also served as a wake up call because now no matter what they try, they have monsters after them. They learned too much. No way back.
It is like Irwin ironically got the better deal because he is at least a human who can defend himself against monsters.

---

I like monsters though and your designs are quite good!

But yeah. One buddy who is used to drawing monsters and anthros said the same thing so I told him to explore another option and that he should draw a mecha or a robot. Let's just say he tried, lmao :D

It's true, of the humans it would seem Irwin is the most capable of making it out alive, huh? Heheh. Maybe they shouldn't meddle in these affairs, soft and squishy as they are..

-------

I dunno about the red skeleton guy XD Maybe.

Mecha, though, I love drawing them! I feel like I'm not terrible at it, either. I don't have any examples on hand, unfortunately :/

I used to draw stuff for The Dallas Brawl and Bizarre Wars -- the fantasy elements were easy compared to humans. All I can say is that my drawings of humans looked less and less like transporter accidents as time went on, but they were never perfect. You're light years better than I ever was. :)

You'll have to show me your work! I'm very interested :D Also, transporter accidents is an amazing way to describe it, hahaha XD

I don't have a lot scanned, but I'd be happy to show you what I've got. I did clip out my main character during that time, Shadow Lord and set it as my avatar. :)

Not sure what new information there could be about a church whose membership all mysteriously disappeared in the 1870s.

Unless this is an offshoot congregation that continued on with their practices.

The church itself disbanded, yes, but the members did scatter about - and for the purposes of my story, some remained. Others are operating in Arkham, in fact :)

I do have a plan for this, which will come up in time. Great catch, though!

I'm liking Chase more and more as he shows a more empathetic side and, y'know, accidentally knocks vases over like a giant housecat.
