Happy friday!

I hope the week wasn't too rough for you guys. Anyone who tried to tune in to the stream on wednesday, I'm super sorry; some unforseen technical difficulties caused us to start really late. We still ended up streaming for about seven hours, after, though.

The good news is it'll be easier to pick it back up on sunday! So we'll be able to start at around noon again CST (-6:00 GMT), with bright eyes and fresh faces.

Hopefully I'll see some of you there - it was a lot of fun once it finally started :)

Huh. We've never seen Jaunt working out before. He's always seemed such a skinny lad, I just assumed his strength was supernatural.

Same :D
My two choices are that he either does need to stretch once in a while just like other humanoids or simply feels like it because he is bored and observed that is what some humans do. Technically, I doubt he even needs to read books but yet he does.
This is the kind of "small-talk page" which is cool to offer some possible funny insight. I call it: characters having a day off plot :D

I'm glad the page is appreciated, heh - I wanted to limit it to ONE page, the next one goes right back to development, so we're good there :)

But yeah, I'm not sure how much Jaunt needs to exercise so much as he wants to work out energy. I feel like he's always packed full of it, both from nourishment and from the eldritch energies he invites into his body.

Sheesh! Now I definitely see Jaunt as the kind of person to CONSTANTLY type on their smartphone! Sorry! Born too early! Like... waaaaay too early?? Heh.

Sunday! I MIGHT actually try and catch the stream :O
Will see!

Oh my, how different would this comic be if everybody had a smartphone. Which reminds me: What might have happened to the connection between Jack and Jaunt? Jack used some device, which may still exist, Jaunt seemed to not need anything extra.

But yeah, Jaunt's definitely not the sort of person to sit still unless he's got something really interesting to ponder, which apparently he doesn't...

Oh! That is good point!
I suspect creatures like Nyarl are throughout and he got rid of the device OR he can use it to spy on Jaunt more effectively. Welp.
I think the two can no longer communicate because Jack does not want to, sure, but maybe the corruption also destroyed that uh, inter-dimensional channel they needed to connect.

So this is why the horrors from beyond wish to see the universe devoured...

Euclidean space... is boring.

I'm more astounded that he's doing all these vigorous physical activities with a piece of metal EMBEDDED INSIDE HIM.

Ow. It's bad enough trying to exercise with a muscle tear or something. Trying to work out with something impaled in your innards? If ever we needed evidence that Jaunt isn't human! ;) :P

Spoiled by Biology

Joint has been spoiled all his life by the ability of easy teleportation. To be fair, we would feel the same did some curse limit one of us to the speed of motion of a snail or starfish.

ADD con be a good thing for a criminal mastermind, but they need a deputy with focus and attention to details.

Hmmm...does he have a copy of "The Lovecraftian Horror's Guide to Euclidean Space"?

"Euclidean space is big...really big. And boring as hell. I mean, you may think watching paint dry is boring, but that's peanuts compared to Euclidean Space..."

I understand Jaunt - I don't like linear time, either!

on reading

I'm glad to see someone wickedly smart actually reading - got to acquire that knowledge base somehow. The Name of the Rose is a little dull for all the emphasis on books, but it's far more realistic than super-geniuses both running crime labs and conducting witness interviews in low-paid, (relatively) low prestige government jobs that somehow have TV level resources (read, unreal resources).
